The meeting, which was attended by approximately 50, was addressed by Bill Gloyn of AON on the subject of "Professional Indemnity Insurers views on adjudication". This was followed by a lively debate which aired the participants' concerns over some of the restrictions which underwriters were seeking to impose on their policies in relation to Adjudication. A new-style set of specialist construction chambers is to be established at No 1 Chancery Lane in June this year. The set will comprise two groups - the first is a set of barristers all of whom specialise in construction disputes (mostly as arbitrators, adjudicators and members of dispute resolution boards). The second group (ADR Associates) is a set of experienced construction professionals who act as arbitrators, adjudicators, DRB members, conciliators and mediators. The members of ADR Associates do not need to be legally qualified.
Held on 20th November 2002 at The New Connaught Rooms, Great Queens Street, London WC2B 5DA
