New Practitioner’s Group

The New Practitioners Group (NPG) is an initiative of the Adjudication Society established to support individuals at the early stages of their careers in adjudication, as well as those transitioning into the field.

NPG is fully inclusive and open to all who have an interest in, or involvement with, adjudication. The group welcomes not only those seeking to develop as adjudicators, but also practitioners engaged in party representation or otherwise involved in the adjudication process.

The Mission

Through support, education, mentorship, and networking, the New Practitioners Group aims to promote excellence and inclusiveness, ensuring that all who wish to contribute to the practice of adjudication have the opportunity to develop and thrive.

Aims and Objectives

1. Support

To provide a professional network through which members can access support, guidance, encouragement, and opportunities for growth. The Group aims to foster a collaborative environment in which members can share experiences and develop confidence in their professional practice.

2. Learning

To deliver learning and development opportunities focused on the fundamentals of adjudication. This will include workshops, training sessions, and seminars designed to strengthen understanding and promote excellence in practice.

3. Mentoring

To facilitate mentoring relationships between experienced practitioners and those at earlier stages in their careers. The mentoring scheme will provide structured support, professional insight, and guidance for career progression.

4. Networking

To organise networking events that bring together individuals who are new to adjudication. These events will encourage professional connections, peer collaboration, and knowledge sharing across the adjudication community.

5. Student Membership

To introduce student membership within the Adjudication Society, offering students the opportunity to engage with the profession at an early stage, gain exposure to adjudicative practice, and participate in the Society’s activities.

NPG is open to all members of the Society and we encourage those wanting to participate to join the NPG linkedin group to stay up to date with events, news and have your say on important matters (https://www.linkedin.com/groups/13039316/
