Delia Dumaresq

In April this year, the London Branch of the Society put forward to the national Executive Committee of the Society a paper (drafted by Delia Dumaresq) proposing that the adjudication Society itself consider establishing a training/qualification standard and code of practice for adjudicators.

The aim was to further the debate started last year on how best to achieve both self-regulation of the construction adjudication ‘profession’ and a consistent and high standard in the conduct of adjudication – possibly through a Model National Standard, Training and Code of Practice.

Notes from a meeting of the Society in London on 10 December 2002, at which Delia Dumaresq (Atkin Chambers) and Chris Hough (Fenwick Elliott) give their views on 'multi-party adjudication' and 'getting paid' respectively.
